Auge responds to the needs that the people of this territory have identified as important. Our intervention strategy is comprehensive, through different programmes that support both the growth of the people and their environment.
Every three years a series of community assemblies are held in the different neighbourhoods, which produce a diagnosis of their reality in the form of the “Agenda Social de Necesidades”, , which is presented to the candidates to commit them to address the problems raised in the order in which the inhabitants of Las Joyas require it.
Thanks to this, they have been able to manage the widening of roads, the incorporation of new bus routes and the construction of a public park of more than 3 hectares, among other things.
Auge’s work in Las Joyas has had a positive impact on the territory, transforming it during the ten years of Auge’s presence in the area, although there is still a long way to go.
Impact of our work
In addition to transforming the environment, each year we are able to work with a greater number of people, profoundly impacting their lives.
During 2023 we directly served 4,985 people.

Financial donations
We are certified by CEMEFI (Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía) which, in order to promote the social responsibility of Mexican companies, certifies civil associations in their effectiveness and transparency, and strengthens them. Auge is accredited with a degree of excellence.
We are an association that has been legally constituted for 10 years and is authorised by the Mexican government to receive donations both nationally and from abroad.
Donations in kind
Donations in kind facilitate our work and come in a wide variety of forms: musical instruments, music stands, office or classroom furniture, work tools for land used as parks, vehicles, stationery, didactic material and games, books, construction materials, among others.
Themes and publics with whom we work on specific projects
Education
Resources are earmarked to support specific programmes for children aged 5 to 12, adolescents aged 13 to 18 and young people aged 18 to 35.
The educational needs are many, because the schools are insufficient and the conditions for further education are difficult.
Ecology and community organisation
The resources are destined to promote the organisation of different territories in order to recover green spaces, strengthen the social fabric and the self-managed participation, especially of women.
There are many neighbourhoods that still need our support to organise themselves.
Arts education
The area of education through art deals with music, through the orchestra Sonar las Joyas, which works with children and adolescents from 8 to 18 years of age.
We would like to broaden the offer to attract those who are inclined towards the plastic or performing arts, as equally valuable development alternatives.
Work with women, health and parenting
The integral health area works especially with women on issues of parenting, health, gender and nutrition.
Issues such as intimate partner violence, new masculinities, mental health and addictions that we have not addressed due to lack of resources
Expert volunteering
Auge has received the support of expert volunteers, funded by different foundations and foreign governments, who have strengthened our organisation with their intervention.
Grants or sponsorships
All Auge programmes support personal processes of individuals, which have a monthly cost.
- The scholarships are linked to the amount that Auge requires to maintain the educational effort in its different programmes.
- The cost to support a mother or father in the parenting process is $350 pesos per month.
- The cost for a child receiving school support is $400 pesos per month. You can provide scholarships for several children.
- The cost per secondary school student to support him or her to move on to high school and stay in school is $1,500 pesos per month. You can give scholarships to several children
- The cost for one teenager in the orchestra is $1500 per month for at least 3 years.
- The cost per student for 18 months of high school, soft skills and job training is $2,500 per month.
Some of our high school graduates go on to pursue a university degree, but others enter the workforce and need well-paid jobs in companies that are concerned about the welfare of their workers.
Links with other associations and organisations in the region
Auge is a founder and participant in the La Olla Solidarity Network, an organisation that brings together the different associations working in the Las Joyas area, both at an individual and governmental level, so that the efforts of all are coordinated in favour of the most excluded population.
